I'm almost 14 not allowed to date but might be in love...PLEASE HELP!?

I'm a very smart person, I'm in gifted and GEM (math three years ahead of grade level) i get straight A's and I'm on the cheerleading squad at my middle school and will probably be captain next year. Anyways I turn 14 in october and theres this guy that was in my math class all of the seventh grade year, I'm on summer break btw. He's sweet and he gets straight A's also. He's handsome six foot one in my grade and a gentle man. I want to date him but my mom has always said in high school my sister and I can start dating. I feel ready and i wouldn't do too much, I think it's stupid for teenagers to have sex and possibly ruin their lives. He wants to go out with me next week and i said I'd do it but I'd invite a few friends...should i tell my mom he's gonna be with me or just say I'm going out with friends? What should i do I don't know how to talk to my parents ab out this their very old fashion and will want to meet him. He's so sweet i am testing him now and he is using :)'s and said goodnight <3. I may love him :D please help me i don't know what to do I feel like Juliet
