Can we eat during moon/solar eclips.....?

Many of us heard from many other that not to eat while eclips time.....(not sure with the reason..but i heard its becoz of gems producing in it faster than normal time ..and becoz of harmful x rays...)..could any one of u clear my doubts...plz
