Does Acrobatics and a Flying Gem work in pokemon black/white?

If I attach a flying gem to a pokemon and use acrobatics, will i do extra damage with acrobatics' special effect in addition to flying gems 50% bonus for not having an item when flying gem is used up in the same turn?
